Since it’s less expensive than sensing cable, it’s also frequently used to bridge lengths of sensing cable through areas where active leak detection is not required. NSC does not affect the accuracy system readings or limit the amount of sensing cable that can be connected to a control panel.

Fluorescent, adhesive tags clearly mark the location of sensing cable and non-sensing cable. Wrap the tags around any exposed cable at ten-foot intervals and use the space provided on each tag to note the distance from the leak detection controller. Caution tags are sold in packages of 10 tags.
